Legal & privacy.
The short version: no cookies, no tracking from site to site, and your email only if you ask for the newsletter.
Legal notice
Who's behind Kodza.
Kodza is published from France, so French law asks for a name, an address and a host. Fair enough.

Privacy
What we know about you. Not much.
No account, no ads, no cookies. Here is everything the site collects, who handles it, and why.
Cookies
None. Nothing is stored on your device to follow you around, which is why there's no banner to click.
Visit counts
Counted by Vercel Web Analytics (Vercel Inc., United States, which also hosts the site), without cookies. Visitors are told apart by a hash of the request that resets every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next, or from one site to another.
We see pages, referrers, countries and devices, plus two events: a newsletter signup and a copied MCP install command. Nothing is sold, shared or matched with other data. As the CNIL allows for this kind of anonymous audience measurement, it runs without asking for consent.
What AIs fetch
When an AI assistant fetches a component, through the Kodza MCP or by reading a page for someone, we add one to that day's count for the component, kept on Supabase. With it: the kind of visitor (the MCP, an AI reading for someone, a search crawler) and, from the MCP, the assistant's name and the stack it asked for. No IP address, no time of day, nothing you typed. It's a tally, not a log.
When your assistant uses the hosted MCP (kodza.dev/api/mcp), the words of its search and the component it asks for reach the server, which answers and forgets them: nothing is kept, nothing is written to the logs. Only the tally above remains.
Newsletter
If you sign up, your email address goes to Kit (ConvertKit LLC, United States), which sends the newsletter. Nothing happens until you confirm from the email it sends you. The legal basis is your consent.
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. Your address stays on the list until you use it. Kit stores it in the United States, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
Hosting logs
The host keeps short-lived technical logs, IP addresses included, to deliver the pages and keep the site safe. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a site that works.
Fonts and code
The fonts and the code highlighting come from kodza.dev itself: no other server sees your IP address when they load.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or object to its use: write to hello@kodza.dev. If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the CNIL (cnil.fr).
